MIDNIGHT
woodturning in space time
liam lever is an independent fabricator and designer working in bracknell forest. his work considers function and aesthetic as interchangeable terms, allowing the wood to dictate its own form, preserving the adventure of process. lathe work is central to design which gives freedom from the impediments of planning, allowing the personality and movement of each cut to become frozen as the object. much of the materials used are found, salvaged or repurposed from existing objects because more is no longer better on this crowded little planet. Liam has a background in music performance and production, a world that can often dilute vision. his move into woodturning allows for the artistic value to be retained without the noise.
